So last Monday I was having irregular contractions, I got checked and I was 3cm 50% effaced and -2 station.. The doctor said any day now. I continued to have contractions everyday where I thought it was time but then they slowed down again 😭😭 it was torture! On Saturday the contractions continued to stay around 15 min apart all day and I had already lost most of my plug the week before, I noticed I was leaking a bit of fluid.. Around 730 the contractions got closer and more regular, now I had been tricked before, so I waited, sure enough they got to 5-6 min apart and then slowed back to 10-15 TWICE! So I walked around my house over and over. At 9 they went to 5 min apart, and I don't know why but I waited 3 hours of them being that close together before I talked to my doctor who told me to go to the hospital. I got to the hospital at 1:15AM, I got up to a room, got undressed into a Johnnie and then hopped on the bed, then BAM I felt a GUSH of fluid, my water broke! My husband and in were joking about it because if it was a little bit before it would've been all over the car. The contractions became 2-3 min apart and I refused the stadol because I planned on going right for the epidural.. Well the anesthesia doc came to give me the epidural and at this point the contractions were severe and close, the doctor tried 4 different times to get the catheter in my back but didn't succeed, I flipped back over the bed and started yelling I GOTTA PUSH! the nurse said not yet and looked to see, then she started yelling in the hallway and all the docs and nurses showed up! My husband came running in just in time to see he crowning! I pushed three times and I ripped down my Johnnie and grabbed her to put her on my chest ( the docs and nurses didn't even get a chance to) she was crying nice big cries and I was rubbing her down to get her warm. she scored 9s on her apgars both times 😏😏. On Sept 27th at 4:22Am my healthy baby girl was born at 6lbs 19inches long. She nursed right away and stayed skin to skin with her mommy for 2 hours.. 😍😍😍 Later on the doctor told me I had pre eclamsia and I had a lot of protein in my urine. I also had it with my son, but up until delivery with her I was fine. This is why I was in early labor all week long from my elevated blood pressure, if I didn't deliver when I did, it could've been much more serious! thank god everything worked out okay!
