question for my preggiess...have you ladies thought about heard about or tried a pill called phentermine??. if you have tried it what was ur experiece and if you heard of it...what have you heard?.

phentermine is a psychostimulant, similar to an amphetamine (such as adderall), and carries the risk for abuse and dependence. I'd have a long talk with your dr before taking it.
immediate release means they release the active ingredient within a small period of time, typically less than 30 min and the effects are felt for a few hours or less. Extended release means they release the active ingredient at a sustained and controlled rate over a period of time (typically 8, 12, 16 or 24 hours). And I would definitely recommend talking to your dr or seeing a mental health professional about your depression before starting this medication.
would you recommend someone who is gonna start on this to see a counselor first? i feel like i suffer from spells of depression but ive never been diagnosed and what do you mean immediate release??
Also... the extended release pills tend to be less effective than the immediate release, so if you're planning to take it, I'd ask for immediate release.
I've seen obese and overweight patients lose a significant amount of weight while on it. Unfortunately, I've also seen these same patients gain the weight back as soon as they stop taking it, and it's not recommended for long term use.
I've worked on clinical trials of it. It's a stimulant, so you will notice a drastic reduction in appetite. It's not recommended if you have any heart conditions, or experience depression or anxiety. Also, not safe to use while pregnant or breastfeeding.
