How horrible would you feel to be that one that accidentally gave someone's baby herpes?!

How about not letting someone kiss on your newborn while they have a raging, flaring, open sore on their lip? 😳. I mean, I'm sure it was flaring for it to spread. That story definitely gave me the heeby-jeebys. lol.

@mamalamadingdong, eeeek. That must have been bad bad luck then for it to spread. Gag! I would definitely be out for blood - that poor baby must live with that for the rest of their life. So sad. 😔

Right?! I sympathize with both sides, though... you wouldn't think something so harmless and intended to be done with love could cause so much damage! They must feel HORRIBLE!! Especially if they are family. My MIL gets cold sores occasionally and I'm going to have to tell her to back off, lol!! @jennatess

@mamalamadingdong, of course! My mind is thinking more, even if you knew it was a one in a million chance, you shouldn't risk going to see a newborn. Their immune systems are so week. I don't know. I bet they feel terrible.

Yeah I think people who get cold sores don't take them seriously and don't consider them dangerous. People definitely need to be educated about how dangerous herpes can be for young babies!

@mamalamadingdong, @jennatess what's crazy is out of all the things I was freaked out about and have anxiety about this never crossed my mind. But honestly why would something like this cross the mind of a new mom.
