breastfeeding moms how long do u have to wait to get a tattoo? i want to get one done but im not in a hurry i rather it be safe to breastfeed then to get a tattoo. any idea how long?

@mommy1990, @mommy-of-3 @reaganmommy2015 -- The ink will not transfer into the milk. The biggest concern would be infection, but, if you go to a reputable, well researched shop, and take proper care of the tattoo once it's done, then you should be good to go!(:

I waited 8mo. I think it also depends on placement. But I think the main concern about tattoos both while pregnant and breastfeeding is increased risk of infection.

@cookiemonster1216, i agree i wouldnt do it while being pregnant and if it caused harm to my babys milk i wouldnt even think twice. im still gunna wait a little but my concern was milk
