I didn't take it. but my friend did and she took it orally 3 time a day I believe. our midwife told us that vaginally taking it can actually cause your water to break sometimes

I want to say about a week. our due dates were a week apart and she started taking them right before I went into labor

you can take it. no matter what your body won't go into labor unless it's ready to.
