So I'm 4 weeks postpartum and where my stitches were is still fairly sore. I had a second degree tear. Is it normal to still be a little tender?

Also, my bleeding is like dark brown now, not red. Is that normal?

The difference between these tears and 3rd or 4th degree tears is that second degree tears don't go all the way to your bum hole and 3rd or 4th degree tears do and are usually deeper. @melia

Totally normal! I was sore for a while. I had 2nd degree tearing as well, and your bleeding will change multiple colors until it finally stops😊
