Got an email this morning that Carters is having a BOGO on shoes and socks- but I'm all for soft soled shoes and only when they start walking personally

I don't have any shoes! I refuse to buy them until she walks well enough to walk and play out side! they are a waste of money to me. plus I can't keep socks on her at all she hates them

@ngujen, my son is 11 months and he hates shoes, he has like 5 pairs but he don't even wear them. He crunchs his toes so I can't put them on him so I just put him socks. When he was a newborn my friends gave me a lot of shoes but he never wore them so I just put him socks, he maybe wore the nb shoes my mom bought him but that was it.

I'm not planning on using shoes until he's older. I hear they just kick them off and they can't walk yet. They do have cute socks that look like shoes if you are concerned. Just socks to keep her feet warm should be good. 😊

my daughter is 2 weeks old and I've yet to put socks or shoes on her. she's always wrapped in a blanky, or has a full on body suit on that covers her feet !! . maybe when she starts crawling !! lol

Yes the ones that help them walk have a hard bottom I saw them for $40+...That's a week of food for me

@islandftm which walking shoes do you mean? Like ones with hard bottoms? All I have is a little Velcro soft pair with little grips on the bottom and a little pair from Payless that I got as a gift. But you're right. Gotta enjoy the cheap shoes now!! As well as the clothes. My goodness, I'm not looking forward to that.

Lol, exactly. I was feeling bad about that too and then I'm like well duh, he's not gonna come out of the womb walking around. Haha.

@ashleycoronel those walking shoes are expensive...I just got about 6 pair of shoes some loafers n tennis shoes I'm having a boy so I gotta enjoy $2 shoes now before they're $200

I only have 2 pairs of shoes for my little one. I was told that you don't actually need shoes until they start walking anyways, which makes sense.

well there's a resale shop at the clinic I went to Arlington pregnancy center...I have a coupon I don't mind giving. but I got all kind of cute shoes for a few bucks...my money funny at the time
