Okay for the record- the ink will NOT transfer into your milk so don't even worry about that. You CAN get tattooed while breastfeeding, I did it multiple times when I was breastfeeding my son. BUT, I went to a reputable artist at a reputable shop. I know the shop, and the artist, and I know that it's clean there and that they use brand new and clean instruments. You need to make sure everything is brand new and clean, a good tattoo artist will show you as he opens each needle, rubber band, barrel and anything else used for the tattoo. They will show you as they open the brand new package, and if they don't then just watch them or ask. Let them know you're breastfeeding and that you can't risk infection. Getting a tattoo while breastfeeding is perfectly safe and no big deal, unless you're getting it in a trailer park from some crazy dude lol. Just go somewhere clean and good!!

Okay thanks you guys @queendavis @morgans_mommie @frances.gln92 im planning to get tattooed by my cousin * he does have his own shops * he's not one of those family members who just knows how to tattoo and will do it for the low lol but i will make sure just for extra precautions he opens everything right infront of me

@aj1115, omg! I was thinking the same thing i wanted my tattoo while pregnant but thats just a bad idea but during breast feeding i may just do that. My fiance's cousin does them & ive seen her do several tattoos & she opens everything new nothing has been used she buys new products for each customer so now i know i can do it while breast feeding! Im super happy i didnt wanna wait til after i finish breast feeding cus i wanna breast feed for at least 3 months if possible further
