A lil bit of a Rant

I've been living ere in MS for a year basically only ppl I know is my husband n this one friend I met almost a year ago. Now I planned this baby shower expecting my family n friends from out of town to come literally everyone has cancelled. Seriously don't feel the need to have the baby shower again. It's gonna be a celebration for my husband and his friend I can sit my ass home with my one friend ere I'm annoyed n disappointed all at once

I really thought I was getting a baby shower and like no one has even thought about giving me one. This is my first baby i mean no one has to do anything for me I just at least thought they had plans for me and they don’t. They gave my uncle one because his wife didn’t want one because she already had a kid.And everyone got a baby shower and was giving one .But I guess it’s okay. I’ll do my own baby shower with my next child I just thought family planned a baby shower for you . Lol guess I thought wrong.

So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that

So I’m not a fan of my fiancé’s family. I want you all opinion on what you would do. His family wants to throw me a baby shower. Yet they haven’t invited any of my family and friends and none of my fiancé’s friends. My fiancé and his niece haven’t spoke since May since I got into an argument with her and supposedly this baby shower is her idea. Would you go to a baby shower that no one you know or friends and family won’t be apart of? Would you just not show up? My fiancé has already voiced his concerns and they were ignored. I’m thinking about not even going.
