My kids made me cry tonight.. I can't understand why I have to repeat myself of their duties daily..…

We made a chore chart for my two older ones. It's helped a lot especially since they only get TV time and their wifi privileges if they do everything on the chart. We don't expect a ton from them but they are old enough for some responsibility at almost 13 and 12.

I made one. last week.. I guess I need to revise it a little. I guess I have to make sure i put that they need to take a shower every night.. If we don't say it to them, then they won't do it.. which is sad.

I'm in the same situation, since I got pregnant my kids don't listen at all.. I try to tell them when I yell that makes my stomach hurt!! I told my husband so now I just tell him when they disobey and he get them... idk what going on

my kids are like that also and my oldest has adhd and behavior problems. all of them are really good kids and very respectful but I swear they all have selective hearing or just don't listen at all. my oldest made my cry the other night because he was having a bad day and just would not listen or do anything I said. he stopped when I started to cry and I made him feel bad. I hate when that happens cause being a mother I feel like I should be stronger then that. but sometimes it just feels good to cry it out instead of hollering and screaming. I hope it get a better for you

Its not their behavior at all. They are all good kids.. Its just the step by step reminder of the things they do everyday.. Clean your room, wash the dishes, pick up this pick up that, take a shower, put on lotion, I mean all of this stuff you do daily.. why do I have to ask and tell

you each moment to do what needs be done!! I get so frustrated. Then I yell and dad yells and we go through the shit again the next day!! I'm so confused on what I'm doing wrong.

@babyboywinn3, yes we had to put everything on there from brushing their teeth, showering daily, rinsing their dishes etc. I really never would have thought it would come to that but I couldn't take the arguing and I hated being the Mom that screamed. So now with everything on the chart I just nicely ask is everything done. A lot less stress.

OMG I feel the EXACT same way. I have a 6 year old son and do the same thing day in and day out. its like u don't wanna be that fussy yelling mom and wanna do fun stuff but its so frustrating when they're not listening and to top it off being pregnant. I so completely understand you

my kids are doing the same thing to me I hate that they are acting like this so my husband and i agreed if you can't act right stay and your room and don't come out

I have to do that with my 9 year old just yesterday I told him that I will start giving him an allowance for the choirs he does and that if I have to ask him to do something a second time his money will be gone plus he is the kind of kid that won't take you serious until you yell at him 😑

Yeah no one is going outside. school, homework, chores, practice (football, cheer) eat, bathe and bed.. This is gonna be our week. we'll try it out! I've already taken away games until the weekends.
