does my breast milk affect my newborn cause of the meds I'm on cause of my c section?????

I had a C-section and I'm not a no medication on either painkillers but I want to take Motrin

I'm on ibuprofen and oxycodone every 4 hours....I pump a lot of milk but when I give it to her my baby looks drugged up...but when I give her formula she wide awake @mami2

Just take it when u need it.

I asked my Doctor and he said it might make baby sleepy but it wasn't a problem to nurse while taking them

okay thank u her first doc Appt is tomorrow I planned on asking but today after giving her more milk I seen the druggy sleepy look and I just had to ask someone @karnawest

@journeimommy15 yeah it makes them sleepy just like it makes you sleepy you just have to try to keep them awake during feeding rub their head, play with their ears, talk to them, etc
