sooo i got a call from my doctors office today and apparently my glucose level was at 151 when i was supposed to be at 136. and now i have to take the 3 hour test and have my blood drawn every hour. i feel so down now,like this sucks. i didnt have this with my 1st, granted i was a lot younger and smaller then. i haven't gained anything all pregnancy either. im still at the same weight i was prior to getting pregnant. they said we'll "know for sure" once i do the 3 hour test but isnt this next test just a confirmation that i do have it? ANNNNNDDDDD like a dummy i googled gestational diabetes and now i think im killing my baby and dying!!!!!!! yes,yes i am a hypochondriac. if anyone has or is going through this please let me know im not crazy and this is manageable. or at least that im not alone in my feelings. this mommy needs some reassurance.

Don't worry too much yet girl. My doctor doesn't even do the one hour test, he just makes all his patients do the three hour test the first time because the one hour test has been known to be inaccurate and ladies fail it and then pass the three hour one. So don't stress! I'm sure you're fine :))

I failed the hour one and passed the 3 hour test. Its actually pretty common to fail thr hour test

I failed the one hour test 3 times... I passed the 3 hr test all 3 times. I have a very good friend who was just diagnosed with it and you and the baby will be OK either way. It will just be a little work and dieting on your part but it really is manageable. I was told by the nurse that a lot of women fail the one hour test

I have type 1 diabetes and have had it since age 1. All types of diabetes can be managed and well controlled if you take care of yourself and do what you need to. Lucky for you it won't be there forever if you have it. Hope you can pass your 3 hour test though!

I just went through the same thing last week and felt the exact same way,I passed the 3 hour test though. I asked why I failed the 1 hour test, and the nurse said it might've been something I ate the night before
