For the lady's out there who have been induced... What was your experience? Is it really worse than not being induced?
yeah it's fun when you think you gotta poo but it's really the baby, wish they would have warned me. good luck
:) well I suppose it can be worse. And yeah it will all be worth it. Once I get to meat my little girl. 💖
@mariahkillen, everyone is different sometimes induction doesn't even work as well.. Recovery was okay, I have some soreness and back pain from epidural, but you won't even care about yourself. You'll be in love with baby 😍😍
@mariahkillen, it was my first baby so I thought labor was sopposed to be like that.. When I did my maternity rotation I learned that that's what induction does, it makes labor more intense and painful. Labor is unbearable enough!
Okay yeah I'm expecting the induction to be harder on me so I told the doctors I for sure want the epidural. Hopefully it helps. What was recovery like after
Once I got the epidural i felt absolutely NOTHING. All the way to pushing him out. Not even pressure. But everyone is different. I slept through all my labor and they just kept pushing oxytocin up till I was fully dilated . 16 hours of labor about 5 minutes of pushing .
The epidural was great! I was very calm, just tired. I was fully dilated about 30 minutes after I got the epidural.
@cuety83, do you think it would have been as bad if you weren't already in labor? And what was recovery like after
@junesmommy15, did the epidural help? Cause I'm planning on getting an epidural
It was torture lol. Not trying to scare you but it make contractions hard. I didn't want an epidural but I ended up getting it because the contractions were coming so fast. I did have a quick labor though.
@mariahkillen, for me personally it was horrible! The contractions were so intense and right on top of each other they had to turn the pitocin off! I couldn't even get a chance to breath in between, they put an oxygen mask on me! I progressed so fast the epidural didn't work and there was no time for another... I think it was because the day in was sopposed to be induced, I showed up there already in labor with contractions 5 min apart... I already told my doctor NO INDUCTION unless medically necessary!
Oh so you just feel like you have to poop but it's really but pressure from your baby?
