i kept really active with my last baby i worked full time till i was 39 weeks and on my due date i went into labor and had my baby after 3 hrs of labor and with 2 1/2 of those at home and no pushing my baby flew out... i like to think me working on my feet all day for that long helped my labor go fast and easy although very painful
well my last babyb i went pain med free but not by choice my baby came to fast... it was like what @hward12 said alot of babies were being born at 36 weeks and having breathing problems and body temp so they changed full term to 39 weeks
@adalynn1223, good for you I was the same way I should have been doing them all along but I definitely got lazy lol. but it's okay I've been walking since 35 weeks but it wasn't to start labor it was just to get out and actually move lol. Now I'm officially on maternity leave I'm upping my walks :)
@babygirl10-11, me too!! lol. I think they just want a baby to be over a certain weight to be sent home, unless they pass all their tests. @jackie1124 , I just started doing exercises the day I turned 36 weeks. lol.
@maximusandmommy, I'm glad he is okay now!! I'm not doing any strenuous exercises, just small basic ones. I probably should have done them throughout my pregnancy, but better late than never! I bought pineapple so that way when I start getting contractions, I can eat them. lol.
Walking is always good no matter how far along you are. Only advice I have is be careful... My son was born at 36wks and his lungs were barely fully developed. Only reason I know this is because they tested his lungs at 35 week and they weren't fully developed yet. He still had issues with regulating body temp and such because he was so small. The last few weeks are vital for baby growth. However I don't think you are doing anything wrong.
@naomismommy, some people are just so freaking mean.. 😁 y'all aren't doing the wrong thing.. there's other mom's out there trying to get their baby out sooner than 36 weeks.. @adalynn1223 well she could be different from my son. My son was stuck from what my doctor said his shoulders couldn't pass my pelvic bone so he had to get vacuumed out that's why it took forever for him to come on his own.
I'm ready for her to come and 36 weeks is considered the safe zone! @naomismommy
@maximusandmommy , If that's how long it takes then she will come when she's ready to come!!
@adalynn1223, when I hit my 36 week mark I was doing what I can to induce my labor too and my son came when I was 39 weeks 5 days. I tried everything to get him out sooner but he wouldn't come.
I just figure it'll take a week or 2 for the exercise to actually work. lol. Hoping she will be here around 38 weeks! Pregnancy is kicking my butt!! @maximusandmommy
