@caseclosed2015, yes I do was trying to pump the one engoured side some but idk how much to pump I pumped like maybe an oz an then few hours later it's huge an hard again

Just try and pump it a little so it's not hard and try and get the baby to latch to that side. Its gonna get engorged bcuz the baby isn't eating from that side. You can start a stash also if u pump and freeze the milk.

My son refuses to latch at all now so I exclusively pump. It's tough at first but I'm 4 months strong. When you get your supply to where you want it you won't have to pump as often as every 2 hours

And just pump until the flow stops and it's just little drops

I have a good supply and I pump both breasts an hour or so before I feed him . Pump for 15 min ! It keeps me from getting engorged and helps keep him from getting overwhelmed with too much milk , but still has plenty to be satisfied:)

The NICU nurses said all babies have a favorite side to latch on , my sons in the right so they told me to put him on the left side first when he's really hungry , which he just started latching on to that side a few days ago and we have been working at it for a bit now ! Just keep at it you will both get the hang of it :)

@mommyofmisters, thank you that's good to know! An yes I would be so proud of both me an the baby if we can stick this out an prove wrong everyone who thinks breast feeding just isn't possible..

before you pump get 2 small towels put them under hot water and put them on your breast do it 2 or 3 times..or shower in hot water or the most you can stand. .. or hot.compression then pump both breast ay the same time. .and while pumping massage the engorged breast. ...I had the same problem with my last baby and I ended up getting an infection and my milk dried up:/ but this time I asked alot and rear alot ..but I hope this helps you
