Okay good , once you let them know your pregnant they send you an unborn card and the hospital ( if your going to a hospital that uses Medicaid) they charge that card for the care he/she gets . I live in New York . But that's how it works here . This way it's all ready and you don't need to worry about it after birth .

Your baby gets the insurance u have right away . Did u call Medicaid to let them know your pregnant ? Did u receive and unborn card ?

you apply for it when your baby is born. they'll give you a paper for proof of birth to give to social services to process her medicaid

Yup. At least here in California. A week after having my son I got his Benefits ID in the mail.

You have 30 days to add them to medicaid. Until then they are covered by your insurance.

You should get a card in the mail that's says "unborn" with your last name. I received mine about 2 wks ago
