Kind of still annoyed at the doctor from yesterday. He told me what I think is the baby moving is actually gas. Really?! I felt my son at 16w. EVERY weekly update thing I have read says I can feel her now. AND he argued with me about where my kidneys are. I'm fat. I'm pretty sure gaining weight doesn't relocate my kidneys. Apparently it is impossible for your kidneys to hurt through your back because you have muscle there and that means nothing else can be in that region. And I have a disease that he told me he knows NOTHING about then argued with me when I told him my kidneys don't drain because of it and I would like to use a heat pad he said one has nothing to do with the other. If this doctor delivers my daughter I will switch hospitals in the middle of delivery. Sorry for the rant but I'm pissed. Don't tell me about something you read in a book when I am actually experiencing it. AND just because I don't work does not mean I don't know what I'm talking about. I did go to school for medical thank you very much you sexist POS.
That's funny that he says you can feel your kidneys in your back. I work in an emergency dept and a lot of the people that come in with lower back pain either have a kidney infection or a kidney stone! I have a midwife as well and she is awesome. One of the sweetest people I have ever met in my life.
oh good to know. I will check into a midwife for my next child. Thank you @cuety83
@bengsmom10, Yes, I was high risk with my oldest because of pre eclampsia and vascular problems and she was still my midwife 😊
I wish I knew where there are some of them around here. Maybe I will do that with my next. I'm always going to be considered high risk. Do they take high risk cases?
@bengsmom10, That's why I have a midwife. I am a nurse and learned that a lot of MDs are so impersonal and think they're smarter and always know it all, not all docs, but a lot of them... My midwife knows me on more of a personal level and really listens to me. I trust her with my life and the life of my baby any day over a doctor!
that he says you can't*
