so my work recommend that I have my doctor help me file for flma because I have really bad migraines and my nausea and vomiting medication doesn't work when I have migraines and I'm sick at work all the time. well today I went to the doctor and asked her if she would fill out the paperwork work for me and she was really rude and said no that I needed to see a neurologist and when I told her I've been seeing one for months and that they said they couldn't do anything for me until after the baby is born she said well I guess you'll just have to find another neurologist. do you guys think I should find a new doctor she yelled at me and really hurt my feelings saying that all pregnant women have migraines and I'll just have to learn to get over it

You are still early on in your pregnancy. Yes find another Doctor especially if this one makes you upset and no doctor should yell at you, my doctor is pretty straight forward and is semi-sympathetic I should say but she would never make me cry about anything... If you don't feel comfortable or confident then yes find new doctors all around. No since in staying somewhere you are not happy with. Good luck

I would definitely find a new doctor or see if the neurologist you've been seeing can help with a note or recommendation?

It was her doctor being rude to her and wouldn't give her the note for work. @kmally also, yes find a new doctor and a complaint. No doctor has the right to yell at you and treat you badly.

@r8chel23, My boss said the same thing...I had a horrible first trimester and was accumulating a ton of "unexcused" absences. I went to my Dr and he immediately said they'd handle the paperwork... I got approved for intermittent leave so all of my "unexcused" absences were excused. Sounds like you need a new Dr... if they are not ensuring your comfort and health now...it would make me rethink the care I'd get when it was baby's showtime.

And if you have an HR department I would go directly through them because technically your boss just needs to know that you've been approved and the conditions of your leave not your medical reason for being on leave if you don't want them too.

Do you have a doctor's note? If not I would get one. They have to have a doctor's recommendation if you want to file I do believe. If you have a note and she's still treating you like that I would go to a higher up/corporate/HR.

She could've said things better to you but it's not much they'll do.
