What is a strep test?

I had it done today. they just rubbed a cotton swab type thing down there on the outside. painless and quick.

The group b strep test? They do a vaginal swab and sometimes rectal swab to see if you have group b strep. It's a bacteria that some women have in their body and if you have it they give you antibiotics while youre in labor

I got mine done today and they swabbed the inside of my vagina and the outside of the rectal.
