Vent- why are the most hurtful people family? I'm 39 and 30 weeks pregnant with baby number 8. I'm blessed with 3 children ages 21, 13 and 11. I've had 4 losses since my 11 yr old was born. Went to visit my cousins today that I haven't seen in years over my aunt's house. they wanted to know when my baby shower was going to be. before I could say anything my aunt blurted out, " she isn't having one, why would she if she can't be sure this one is going to live or not. waste of money". I got up and left. well now i understand why when i brought up the idea of a baby shower earlier in my pregnancy i was getting negative vibes. never had one for any of my kids.

That made me want to slap her smh. Stay strong and don't listen to her negative ass. That is not something you say about anyone, to anyone. It shouldn't even have been a thought. Losing a child is painful enough. Nobody needs negative or hurtful comments.

Omg im so sorry Thats so F*cked up you can still have a baby shower if thats what you want to do stay positive its not a waste of money because you will still have the memories of you celebrating your baby and being happy no matter what and if they are so worried about wasting money tell them to keep the damn receipt thats why they have returns !!

ty all, I'm just not going to have one, she just vented what im sure most of my family is thinking. lets just say there wasn't much congratulations from them when I announced. more of wth was i thinking. ty for all the positive vibes.

I've lost 6 babies so trust me I know how u feel and at first me and my husband got that same response but we prayed and prayed I cried out to god and let him know it was his plan whether he or she live or not but please let me enjoy him or her I talked to my baby from the day I found out told my belly every single day how much I loved him or her how we were gonna do so much and if no one believed he or she would make it I believed ....it got sooo real that up till we found out what she was my husband started to let family and friends get in his head he wouldn't ask bout the baby wouldn't want to see sonograms or touch my belly I kept my faith still did what I had been doing and 38 weeks later my princess is coming and family and friends call non stop now....he or she will make it hun and not even to throw it in anyone face but when he or she gets here you thank them for all there not support cause the only support u and ur baby need is god @peachs75
