I was spanked as a child and I turned out fine I think this is complete crap so many people associate spanking or smacking a child on there butt as abuse ! Believe me there's a huge difference I was spanked as a child and even now as an adult I respect my parents and would never talk to my mom the way I hear some kids speak to there parents
I got spankings as a child and I'm fine . Now as far as my kids , I don't spank them & they lack discipline with me . But if they go with someone , they act like lil Angels . Lol .
This is stupid lol, I didn't get spanked as a kid and I was diagnosed with manic depression at age 9, it was words that got to me and unreasonable punishments like not being allowed inside for 3 days in the middle of winter. Abuse causes these things not discipline, the only thing that abuse ever taught me was that it would be a great day if my step dad worked the weekend.
this is b.s I was spank not abuse that's a difference.. it always a excuse , next if your kid is behaving they have mental disorder I see it daily at work, I'm like if they would of got they ass whoop things will be different.

I got spanked as a child and I'm perfectly fine. I had to be really bad to get spanked but it taught me not to be a unruly little asshole of a child. When my son gets older he will get spanked if he needs it too. There's a difference between beating your child and spanking your child to discipline.

Amen! As a teacher, I WISH some parents would discipline their kids. I'd rather my kid be treated for some depression than rob a woman, kill her, be tried as an adult, and spend his next 20 years in prison!

Do you guys think spanking a 2 year old is okay? Because I use to spank my 2 year old, but I started to notice that she started to be scared of me and that just hurt my heart, so I no longer do that and she loves me so much more, but her dad scares her because with him she gets spankings for every little thing she does and she cries like crazy when she goes with him, so what should I do if her dad doesn’t want to stop spanking her?

Where are you on the spanking debate? It is a parent's choice, some kids are so strong willed they don't respond to anything but a whack on the tush, but I have seen many adults take it too far as well.
Everyone is in such a tissie about who spanks their child who cares everyone has a difference in opinion you know what I disagree with child leashes I cringe when I see one but I would never attack someone for their choice to use it get over yourself you shoving your opinion down someone’s throat will not change what they decide to do.
