Hi ladies! Can you all share with me how your labor began or how the first contractions felt and how long they lasted? I'm a first time mommy and i believe I'm getting contractions; the mild beginning ones every 5-20 minutes lasting 30 seconds or so. I passed this stringy blood tinged mucous yesterday and today.

See.. I'm wondering the same thing I went to dr Thursday and I was 2cm dilated and 80% effaced and I was having painless contractions every 7 minutes. Now I'm having painful contractions every 3 minutes
Mild period cramping for 24 hours after losing my mucus plug. Then intense contractions radiating from my back every 6 minutes for another two days. Periodically getting worse and more intense pain. Back pain never let up at all for the last 36 hours which made things rough.
sounds like you may have losy your mucus plug, and those do sound like real contractions. If you time them, and they are coming about 15 minutes apart without fail, you can probably place a safe bet that its real labor. Im so happy and excited for you! This is my fifth pregnancy/ baby, and I can't wait to be in your shoes. It's such an exciting time! Good luck, and keep us poated! xo
