I'm pretty sure she meant your cervix is softing. Usually it feels like the tip of your nose but as your cervix sorts to have the baby it feels like the inside of your cheek hopefully that helps you

not nessicarily. ...I've had mine soft for a while but been dialated at 1cm for two and half weeks still :/

Progress doesn't mean anything. You could still have your baby right on time! Hang in there :)
