I don't get how she didn't smell the vodka. it has a strong smell to it. I am happy the baby will be okay. @shesgotitmade

Kenosha police say an infant who landed in intensive care after her mother accidentally used two ounces vodka to mix the baby's formula is expected to recover.

The Kenosha Police Department says the 1-month-old had a blood alcohol level over 0.29 percent, more than three time the legal limit for adults.

The 20-year-old mother told officers she didn't know that the baby's father had emptied a water bottle and filled it with vodka before she used it to mix the baby's formula Monday evening. She soon noticed the baby was acting abnormally.

Lt. Bradley Hetlet says the parents then got into an argument. He said the 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of domestic abuse and other counts.

The baby was taken to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Hetlet said Wednesday that it appears she'll be fine.

KENOSHA, Wis. — A baby was rushed to a hospital Monday after the 1-month-old accidentally drank vodka, spiking the child’s blood alcohol level to a potentially life-threatening .294, authorities in Wisconsin said.

It happened at a home near 50th Street and 52nd avenue in Kenosha, police said.

The baby’s mother filled a container with water with the intent of using that water to make a body for her child, police said. But the baby’s father poured out the water and filled it with vodka, FOX6 Now reports. Then the mother used the clear liquid in that container to make a bottle for the baby, police said.

Police said the baby’s BAC was .294. An adult is considered legally drunk when their BAC reaches .08.

The child was brought to a hospital and put into the intensive care unit as a precaution, the station reports. The baby’s condition is unknown

The child’s father was arrested in connection with an argument that happened after the child drank the vodka, police said. No further details about any recommended charges against the father were released.

Those people need to be slapped real hard and rot in jail. Poor wittle baby

That makes me so mad. that not an accident at all. why are they not in jail.

someone had to have given it to the poor baby. cuz for being around baby's that are 1 month and even younger can't even get to the bottle that would be laying next to them.
