Getting tested today for group b strep, kinda nervous. How many of you came back positive for it.?

@ehamp86, they will give u antibiotics in the hospital when you're in labor in a iv...it's just a bacteria that's in the vagina that can make baby sick when it's coming through the birth canal..... But if you get that antibiotics you and baby will be fine.... It's very common....

@abella1023, this is my 3rd pregnancy and the only one I've actually paid attention to everything. i had it done with my second one and it came back positive and to be honest i had no idea wth they were talking about 😂😂 till a few weeks ago my ob explained it to me. i know I'm a mess 😅

I did with my 3rd but not the other two. they gave me meds in my IV when I went into labor. cause when I got there I was already 6cm dilated. lol. but it's not bad for you but it is for baby thats why they give you meds to make sure it don't get to baby.

@abella1023, its something us woman carry in our bodies but its harmful or even fatal to the babies so they check to see if women have it and if they do they get antibiotics once in labor that's the only time it will work

they gave me an antibiotic once i was in labor i guess that's the only time it will work @mj3

They will give you a medication when you go into labor so that your baby doesn't get sick.
