Hello all! Tonight I am scheduled to go in to start the induction process at 7:15 PM. I am nervous as this is my first baby, and I'm not sure what to expect. I've heard lots of horror stories about getting induced, and few good ones. Any mommies want to share their experiences with me? Good and/or bad? Any tips would be much appreciated!!!

Every labor is different mama/ don't go by what people say. Me personally when they induced my labor it was nothing bad at all. But again I can tell you that and anything can happen. Everyone is different. Just keep positive that's the best advise. Wish you the best.

in the beginning it wasn't that bad when they start inducing you towards the end is when those contractions come on really strong had to have a csection at the end my baby was big oh I also got an epidural couldn't take the pain but everyone is different good luck just remember to breath through the strong contractions

I had an easy, smooth induction! You're going to get put on a clear liquid diet so bring in hard candy like jolly ranchers, suckers, gum, etc. it may take a while depending on your body so I'd bring something to keep you busy or occupied (when the contractions get strong you won't want to pay attention to them). The pitocin made my contractions strong and back to back, it was intense! But all in all it was an amazing experience. Don't be scared!
