how many mommies here had their little one go in the nursery one of the nights in the hospital? I didn't cuz my hospital…

my hospital had a nursery. I had my baby in there a night or two Cause I was running off little sleep and had high bp. they said she was the best baby in there

With both of my kids I didn't.... I think I watched too much lifetime

that's so weird... my hospital had a. big nursery I never had my baby sleep there cause I wanted to be with her she was finally here lol but that's crazy yours didn't even have one

my hospital said they took the nursery away.. I didn't care that night of bonding was amazing.. I was only in the hospital one night anyways so it didn't really matter.

My son spent 15 hrs in the nursery but he had to so they could monitor his blood sugar and keep him under heat lamps cause he couldn't maintain his own body temp. but I was in the nursery every hr on the hr to spent time with him cause I couldn't sleep with him in there I was happy at 3am when they allowed me to take him back cause his blood sugar wasn't low anymore and they told me to keep him bundled so he didn't get cold cause he still couldn't maintain his body temp cause he had no fat on him

@mssjudyk, Same here. The option was open for me to send her to the nursery, but no way was I letting her out of my range. Instead, they just had a nurse come in and check on us every so often.

They asked me if I wanted them to take my son to the nursery but nope. I couldn't send him away, i needed him near me. I slept very well, mainly cuz I co slept with him so he was asleep all the while. he'd only wake up to eat.

I was shock they took it away because a nurse once told me a lot of moms would fall asleep with the babies in their arms

Well I know one reason but I'm not sure if it's like that in all states but for Arizona, they're has said to have been a lot of kid napping from hospitals while the baby was in the nursery so they took them out and at the hospital I'm delivering at they give the baby an ankle monitor so if someone tries to leave the room area an alarm will sound.

Yeah I was pretty surprised. But my son was SUPER good in the hospital like he never cried, barely made any sounds. He was so content being swaddled. So I didn't mind if he had to stay in my room. But they asked if I wanted them to take him for a couple hours and I said yes. The nurses were awesome so I didn't worry at all. I was so happy to see him back in the morning.

yes good thing he did! it's not always the right fit for everyone.... some hospitals need to realize this... but I think they should bring it back! it would help alot of mommas de stress before they go home... my friend's hospital had one and they would just bring him in every 3 hrs or so to feed off her. I thought that was great! @ab

With me they didn't want my son in the nursery because they were pushing breast feeding on me and saying " he needs to be in the room with me to be breast feed." But in my case I couldn't breast feed with my second son so it was very overwhelming! But my husband stepped in said something so I got to get some rest!

they must be! mousy of them prolly don't have the funds for it. and I think cuz most hospitals are so gun ho about breast feeding they want the baby to stay in the room with mom. idk lol but yes girl I would Def have sent my baby over there for a night with another lil one at home! hahaha and hubby cuz they always need us for SOMETHING @ab

My hospital didn't have a nursery either. The nurses took him for me and watched him for a few hours so I could sleep.

I think most hospitals are taken nursery's away my sister told me they didn't have one where she gave birth my first son I didn't sent to the nursery but I did with my second son I wanted some kind of sleep before I had to go home take care my 2 year old and my new born and my husband lol
