I NEED ADVICE! I am currently 25 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. I have a 4 year old son as well. the father of our daughter is not the father of my son. my sons dad was abusive and bailed after 2 weeks and never seen again. made life easy in a way. but difficult to raise my son on my own. my issue lately is, my fiancé has only been in my sons life since he was 2 years old and up. this will be his first blood child and he has no baby experience. I have been struggling a lot. my health with this baby is horrible. I've been out of work the past 2 weeks now and most likely will be out until after the baby is born. my daughter has a rare condition called Velamentous Cord Insertion and also has a lobe that should not be there. along with several unprotected vessels. I am high risk and I really need his help. I've been doing most of the work. i painted the baby's room, been taking care of my son mainly alone again, doing laundry, driving everyone around and house chores. I need his help because I'm not even supposed to be doing anything but resting. I get frustrated and annoyed but instead of confronting him, I keep my mouth shut and walk away. I've only spoken to him once about helping me thinking that the long talk would be enough... considering he doesn't like to talk much at all. he is not prepared. I know no one is ever really ready for a baby. but how do I get the help I need? being anemic on top of all these appointments I've been going to alone isn't helping either. I don't wanna go through this alone again and I'm terrified. how do I help him prepare without being a crazy pregnant lady? any suggestions... please! 😞

I would say talk to him let him know you need help cause if he doesn't help you now he won't help you later when baby is here. Talk to him about what you need him to do exactly because sometimes men are dumb & don't get hints

Be forward, whether he is ready or not the baby is coming. show him you understand if he isn't ready or just not mentally prepared. but be honest about your feelings and stress the situation that his help will be Wanted and is Needed A lot hopefully he comes around before the baby comes. my prayers are with you.

I'll try. would be helpful if he could come to appointments. maybe hearing it from a doc instead of me would help him realize it's more serious. :/

Explain to him what danger you are in when you have to do so much physically and that being high risk means that you and your baby can be harmed if you strain yourself too much. Tell him you need his help and that you can not and will not do it alone because it is not fair to you or the baby because of the health hazards.
