military preferably navy.
I have questions about Tricare
* when baby is born if I have my own private insurance can dad sign up kid onto his plan?
* is it better to have baby inside military hospital or outside?
* is tricare that great vs. outside insurance?
my fiance wants us to get a justice of the peace so I can be covered instead of using Medical for pregnancy. ( I am covered by anthem blue with the exception of any maternity charges) opinions
Also tricare covers a free breast pump. And idk about military hospital vs. civilian I'm having mine in a civilian because I love the people at that hospital! You do have to be married before you're covered.
Okay my husbands Airforce but my sisters husband is Navy, we've compared how tricare works it seems pretty similar. Everything or mostly everything is covered. I only pay for ultrasounds and hospital visits and that's minimal (only about $10 out of pocket) the baby will be added as a defendant so baby's healthcare is also covered.
Oh ok. Yea i think you need to be married first. BUT the baby should be covered when she is born
that is awesome! @shortiebs I'm not married yet so I don't think I can even get onto the insurance .
Tricare is the exact same for every branch of the military. If you see a doctor covered by Tricare you don't have to pay for anything. If you are seen at a military hospital on a military base and get your prescription filled there then all expenses are covered. If u see a civilian Doc and fill them outside of base then you will have to pay a copayment. But they do offer the free breast pump which is something new.
