Really don't like the negative judgment that comes when you tell people your trying to induce labor 😳😳😳
Of course I don't think it's OK to be trying super early when it's not safe for baby or doing dangerous things to induce but I don't think the judgment is necessary.
😧😧
I started trying to induce this week (I'll be 38 weeks in less than 2 days) and have talked about it on here and Facebook with friends and family. And almost all the responses are negative (thankfully not on here actually but I have seen multiple posts with negative connotations towards women who try to induce here)
😓😓😓
So I thought I would explain myself to show why I don't think you should judge.
I have a lot of health problems and my doctor wasn't sure I would go into labor on my own. I have been seeing her at least once a week. It was going well I was dilated to 2cm and having some contractions naturally. Unfortunately they stopped completely and I am now dilated down to less than 1cm. It doesn't seem like I'm making any progress at all. And if I don't before my next visit my doctor wants to schedule an induction. I really am against induction by medical means. Even pitocin is just to much to me. So I'm trying to jump start things naturally to avoid induction.
I'm not necessarily trying to make her come now I just want enough progress that my doctor won't have to use chemicals. Of course I understand people are against trying to induce early either way but I personally feel it's safer than giving pitocin to my child.
🙅🙅🙅
I don't expect everyone to agree and that's completely ok. I just think that sometimes people don't know the entire situation before they judge and start making mamas feel bad.
@bbyenolan22, np.
I don't think any of that really is a definite indicator. Two days before I went into labor I went to my Drs and everything was fine, I was 1cm dilated and she said it was normal for 38 weeks and that it looked like I would make it to my due date. I was ok when I left and had no signs of labor at all up until that fateful day. I had no Braxton hicks, water never broke, no bloody show. I ended up having my baby 3 days later.
I haven't lost my mucus plug either lol. hopefully things start moving for you! @lunabuena
I've been doing squats and lunges! Thursday we will know if it's helping! Thank you @kibella22
I'll be 39 weeks Monday.. I haven't noticed anything as well. No mucus plug or anything. Or no signs of her wanting to come out. Not even my doctor said anything about it. The only thing she said was see you next appointment if you do make it.. They never check my cervix only once at 36 weeks. So I'm pretty much lost. Lol she hasn't even said anything about inducing me or making an appointment.
Try doing squats!!!! I think that's what jump started my labor. There are a bunch of yoga poses that are easy to do also and can help u dialate. Good luck
Maybe our Walmart isn't big enough lol that's where I tried. I'll have to go to the super Walmart@nicoleduvall91
no I went and got mine at hyvee Walmart has it too...it will say raspberry herbal tea @bbyenolan22
I've heard that tea helps. I'll have to keep looking for it when I went to the store they didn't have it. idk if I have to go to a specialty store? @nicoleduvall91
I am in the same situation as you I always go to 42 weeks my Dr suggested using primrose oil and raspberry lead tea it won't start labor but it will help get your cervix and dilation going I've already seen progress within this last week.
If I need one I'll definitely not argue at all. I just get nervous because I have never had any type of surgery @cmorales86
Don't be afraid of a c-section I had one for my son and I have a planned one for this baby it's not bad the only think is the recovery but u will be fine and it's all worth it in the end
Thanks ladies the support is really appreciated. I've heard pineapple but I really don't like it lol we've been trying sex and spicy food though.
pitocin just frightens me. I've done a lot of reading and it seems like it increases your chances of needing a c section by a good bit because it can cause the baby to go into distress. (no judgment for getting an elective one I'm just terrified of the idea but I wish I wasn't)
I'm just trying to do what I think is safest for her :) @cmorales86 @tysonnsmommy @qveenkels
Oh no its OK I understand what you're saying. my goal isn't to have my daughter now it's just to get myself to start dilating again. i don't need anything to happen fast just to happen a bit. I just want her to come on her own when she's ready but unless I progress at least a little my doctor won't let that happen. hopefully that explains what I'm trying to do better. baby is over 7 pounds right now. I'm glad your son is ok. @princevince
You do whatever you need to do to have a healthy baby! Your the mommy you know what's best! Weather it's inducing yourself or whatever you choose! I didn't feel comfortable with pitocin ethier and so when they induced me they didn't give me any and my body started dilating on its own!
Eating Pineapple will work and obviously sex bc semen softens the cervix
I had my c section 37 weeks and 6 days. My son is in the nicu for breathing. Let your baby sty in as long as possible. It wasn't my choice to have him taken out early. They were trying to prevent stillbirth. My son was just a bit small but not too much. He was 6 pounds so I don't know how much your baby weighs they will come when they're ready. I'm it judging you by the way I'm just saying.
Please help!
My doctor is trying to induce me before 40 weeks because she's going to be off on my due date and says my placenta is starting to look old. How do I get labor started?? I don't want to be induced for no reason and I'm thinking I won't have a choice. Please help. What do I do to get things going?
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
Walking blocks & malls when I hit 36 weeks 😅 i rather walk her out than have to get induced 🤦🏾♀️ so hopefully I can get her out before my induction date 👏🏾

Can someone make this negative for me please? I don't have a negative effect on my phone and don't have enough room for a new app

but first this is the test I got excited about, I
took it later yesterday morning at only 8dpo.
Did I get excited for nothing? :(
I didn't tell anyone other than preggie and hubby, I showed him the test and he was so happy it breaks my heart. Ik I still have a week before my period is even due so Ik If I was I'm very early but that negative this morning has me honestly crushed! what do you think by this test? what would you have thought? :(
What would you be thinking now if you got a neg the nex...
I hope that is how it works! I see her Thursday and she said she's gonna check if I'm dilated again and go from there. I'm hoping she decides it OK @kibella22
