Seriously, if you're having your first baby I would highly recommend taking the birthing class that your hospital offers. I see a lot of questions on here that make me cringe 🙈 For your safety, your babies safety, and for just a bit of peace of mind, I'd highly recommend taking a class. 😊

@williams15, ooh yummy! That looks so good. Damn girl, what time do you have to take him dinner ? I barely sleep at night anymore. I get my naps through out the day time now. Haha.

@williams15, My boy always seems to move more at night ! Granted I did just have a chocolate chip cookie and ice cold water so that probably didn't help. Lol.

@williams15, Right! That's the thing. We shouldn't have to research this shit ourselves. We are paying someone to take care of us and our babies, they should be the ones comforting us!

I've done the research and I agree with you on it being mostly fat, I know my baby is getting everything he needs from me, I just wish my doctor would tell me that, lol.

@williams15, I know it. It's not a good feeling, especially when we're not being well informed by our doctors. From my birth classes I've learned that bigger women tend to have a little wiggle room, I would think you're just losing fat. Because my teacher from the class told me that no matter what your baby will get everything that it needs from you, it's the mom that loses out on nutrients.

I know! all I want is to keep my baby boy safe, I wish I knew why I can't gain weight! I mean I'm a big girl, but going from 336 pounds to 298 in 24 week, its kinda scary.

@williams15, I hope so mama! I lost 20 pounds in my first 4 months and my doctor didn't even notice. When they weigh you at the beginning of each appointment. My nurse pointed it out and I had to speak to the manager of the clinic to address the situation. It's sad that these people we put so much faith and trust in for such an important/scary time of our lives, seem to not really care.

I've lost 35+ pounds since I got pregnant, I'm so sick most of the time I cant even eat, and I'm so dizzy all the time I can't even shower without my husband sitting in the bathroom with me. I'm preying this new doctor takes my issues seriously

@williams15 Ugh, I can completely relate. My doctor is worthless. Blows off my concerns, and doesn't even realize when something is wrong. I was so upset that I didn't feel prepared at all for pregnancy, labor, or having a newborn. And then we started these classes, and I feel a whole new sense of relief. It's hard to find a good doctor these days.

fingers crossed. I just got a new doctor and I haven't even met HIM yet. I'm freaked at the fact that it's a GUY. plus my last doctor was worthless, she didn't care, wouldn't address my issues, I'm just not enjoying my pregnancy other than the time I get to spend feeling my baby boy kick, and seeing my husband's awestruck face when he feels baby kick.

@williams15 Definitely do it ! There were people in my class that weren't delivering at my hospital, so if they don't have any classes at your hospital, you should still be able to take a class at a hospital near you!

I'm going to have to ask my new doctor about that for sure! I'm hoping the army hospital has birthing classes!
