so my baby girls umbilical cord is about to be falling off, but it's bleeding a little just around it...😐 I don't remember my sons bleeding. Does anyone know if its normal.?

wait! don't use anything on it if the cord is still on, but once it falls off you can do what I just said. just wipe it away with a napkin and keep an eye on it.
Oh and if it keeps bleeding like a lot, bring her to the pediatrician, sometimes it needs to be corterized (which they do in the office).
my son's belly button bled after the cord fell off because the diaper was over it. keep the diaper rolled down and use a qtip to just clean the blood off what is visible. you can use some soapy water on the qtip but don't stick it inside and then put some a&d over the belly button...that's what my pediatrician instructed me to do.
okay thanks ladies .. i keep cleaning the surrounding of it with little alcohol wipes but I think her onesie pulled on it 😳
its normal as long as it don't continue to bleed after wiping the blood away. continue to clean it.. 😊
Sorry, also meant to mention if the area around it gets red or swollen bring baby in because it could be an infection.
makr sure the area stays clean, don't get it wet yet though until it falls off completely.

my sons fell off Monday and it bled a little. The doctor said it was okay as long as it doesnt bleed a lot or for a long time.
Mine bled after his fell off for a couple days and I just put Vaseline on it and it was fine
