well when I was first pregnant I think i was 11 weeks a doctor told me my baby would have downs syndrome and other things wrong with her. it broke or hearts to hear that buy we walked out of there not caring because we still wanted her and would love her no matter what. she turned out just fine.

I don't know. I guess it would depend on where I am in life. if we can dedicate such time and attention to the child. if we would have help. A LOT of things would be considered. so Idk

Exactly. Even if my pregnancy wasn't healthy for me, I told my husband if there was ever a time where they have to save me or my baby to save my baby.

@threekings101415 it makes me sad anyone who could do such a thing. ik some people can't deal with it but to kill a baby is so sad...unless it's needed or medically not safe for mom or baby abortions should be illegal. I am all for women's rights but what about the baby!? who speaks for the baby?

My husband and I decided before my anatomy scan and my blood test for Down syndrome, that if the baby were to have it we would keep it no matter what. My mom on the other hand has told me that if she knew she would have a child with Down syndrome that she would get an abortion. I just don't think I could ever bring myself to do something like that, honestly. But that's just a personal point of view.

That statistic seems awfully high and I don't know that I buy those numbers, especially with such a large spread. But, to answer the question: Personally, I wouldn't. But when it comes to the decision of another woman about her body and her reproductive choices, I have no room to speak. Every mother who makes that choice makes it with a heavy heart and she carries that decision with her always. She has her own reasoning behind that decision and she should never be questioned or feel compelled to explain herself to anyone. Instead of judging and saying what you would do instead, show some compassion and learn to empathize, even if you disagree with the action.

No. Worst comes to worst adoption and even that id feel extremely horrible about. Id rather keep it than live my whole life with what ifs

I wouldn't, it is extremely hard having a child with special needs. Alauras considered special needs! but I wouldn't change it for anything, god picked us to he her parents because she needed the extra love, of course her isn't down syndrome, it's epilepsy but it's still just a hard.. we didn't know there was going to be anything wrong with her! I'm glad I could be the mother to raise her despite her issues. She's a normal child in my heart!

I wouldn't! I couldn't! A child with special needs is still a child! I know it would come with challenges but it would also come with so much more rewards when they accomplish something😄

I wouldn't abort my child but I would give him/her up for adoption because I know that I would blame myself and that I wouldn't be able to give him/her the life that he/she deserved .

After all downsyndrome is just an extra chromosome you know some women dont see it like that they see it as the child will be made fun of but no they wont they are people just like us

No, I would not abort my child over down syndrome. I will love him/her the same as my other kids. I would need more patience but besides that I will take care of him/her and do the best I can to make my baby life happy, fun, and the same as others 😊

@sexii_diiva, honestly my opinion is even if your child has down syndrome they are a life given to you for a reason god gave a special needs child maybe cus he feels like women can handle it i was blessed with a baby girl with turners syndrome but cus it was my first time so i kinda let the doctors make decisions that i regret they told me she wasnt gonna live so i let them induce me & they pretty much killed her.. She was still alive when i went in for a procedure the doctor that did it even said why are you guys letting this happen the babys heart beat is so strong but i didnt know they told me her heart was bad & she wasnt gonna make it to birth :/ turns out she was fine when i got her records back from testing.. To have a special needs child is amazing cus it shows that any obstacle given to you along the way with your child you can handle
