What is everyone's experience with being induced? I'm kinda nervous an idk what to think an after…

I've been induced with both of my babies. Nothing to be worried about. I was actually more comfortable with being induced because I'm strep B and it was a more controlled environment for me and my babies whom had to have penicillin when delivering!! You will be fine, Good Luck and Congrats :)

@no3lastone4me, did you still have a natural birth being inducted? An thank you I'm a ftm mom an I wanna be excited but then it's like everything's being set for my baby when he's gunna be born what time I mean I guess we don't no the time but it's like should it be like that? Or am I just over thinking it idk

Yes I still had vaginal births with both. I was induced 3 weeks early with both as well due to medical complications. You should be excited. I had epidural and meds with both of my boys. I'm not brave enough to not have epidural lol. You will be perfectly fine girlie, it is nerve wrecking on your first baby, but you got this.. You will see that baby, and I swear nothing else matters at that moment!! Oh to relive that moment :) It's bitter sweet, I promise you are more than okay :) Just keep thinking about that babies face and it should be all the motivation you need!! Are you being induced today??

@no3lastone4me, thanks I am trying id like to use no meds but will see how it all goes an no they set a date for the 16th unless I go into labor on my own before then so it's kinda like 50/50 lol either gunna happen on it's own or go on a set date

I got induced with my second baby it was easy at 5pm I got pitocen tru a iv about 2 hrs and contractions started around 10pm my water broke at midnight I got the epidural I slept a few hrs and had my baby girl at 5:55am

and I was 41 weeks exactly

@babygirl10-11, oh wow I hope mine goes as smoothly I'll be about 39 or so weeks itl be about a week before my due date

I've been induced twice, first time at 39 weeks, second at 36. Both went fine, about 18 hours start to finish. I did get the epidural with both, and both were vaginal. Obviously complications arise for some women, but I think they're basically safe when handled correctly.
