Heidy Lissette·В ожидании первенца

I just read this comment by a future mommy on the Pregnancy Plus App and I must say it made me feel a whole lot more confident. Looking forward to the birth of my little one.

"Also, to break down labour a bit and make it less scary, which do you think would hurt more? Breaking a bone or experiencing a 20 hr labour? Breaking a bone is a constant pain that cannot be escaped except for pain meds and you must deal with the discomfort and pain for weeks until it heals. With labour pains you experience discomfort through contractions for 20 seconds to 90 seconds at a time every 20 to 2 minutes apart as the labour progresses… if you think about it you only feel discomfort for say… 3 hours of the 20 hour labour. INTERESTING FACT: Labour is pain with purpose and therefore the body naturally shuts down majority of your pain receptors while experiencing labour to help you get through it!!!"

It's all in the breathing and position. and squeezing your partners hand to a mulch helps transfer the pain to him as you push a little at least psychologically jajaha worked for me

mamaste Yes, it could be normal but if you have pain then get it checked out.

Yesterday was quite hard with the cramps but I did manage to get a couple of hours sleep in. Midwives said only to come in when the pain intensifies over time and they didn't. She also expects them to be every 4 minutes apart. Surely that's too short since apparently second labour can escalate quickly?

daniellep5690 @beffgoude 😂😂 you just know your own body I think. I would have too but both times
micahsmoeder @farahamran ooh that sounds so exciting I am dreading that the baby would come at that kind

I do love the way people say you will know when your in labour and having contractions well I will be honest I didn't know and my pains weren't that severe till I was fully dilated I'm sure everyone has different pain levels

olivia161 I don't get why so many people have taken offense to this?? Personally my contractions were horrific,
