I have hypothyroidism and I take a medication called Levothyroxine which is a class A medication, meaning it's completely safe for pregnancy. Mine was caused by pregnancy. Since taking the med my thyroid levels are back to normal and my baby has been perfectly healthy since day one. Doesn't seem to be anything serious. It's pretty common.
