Any moms who started breastfeeding using a nipple shield and was able to eventually breastfeed normally? Only 24hrs in but trying not to get discourage.

I did . It took us 2 weeks before Athena finally latched on right

My son did. He was tongue tied, so had issues latching at first, we got his tongue clipped and haven't had to use the shield since. ☺️

I bought it again cuz my nipple are flat... so if he latches, he does so strongly and it hurts me

I use a nipple shield... I lost mine and he latched.on fine.
