Hi ladies. Have any of you been infected with group b strep during pregnancy and were your babies born healthy. I just found out I have it and sopposely if treated with antibiotics it shouldn't effect the baby but of course I'm worried.

I'm getting tested for it next week, how long did it take you to get the results back.?
I had was told I had step b when I was pregnant I was given antibiotics at the hospital before giving birth to a healthy baby girl
I found out I have it and I'm 30 weeks, I'm on antibiotics the worst part is you may have a really really messed up stomach from it but baby is safe!

Thanks guys. I heard that if they catch it in time the baby is most likely safe. @mj3 it took about a week to get the results
