Had a complete meltdown crying fit yesterday. The thought of a repeat c-section scares me and I don't want to go through with it if I don't have too. Anyone have a successful VBAC? Any tips to talk to your doctor?
A little background, unscheduled c-section 8 yrs ago for my daughter. Son due Dec 11th. Horizontal incision... healed well/no complications. This is my 2nd pregnancy.

I just talked to my friend who is a doula. You can find a dr. that will do it. She just gave me some options in the north east. And most doctors will accept new patients before 32 weeks. So do your research and find a midwife, doula or doctor that can help you.

i am in the exact same situation and I am not afraid of anything except this!!! my daughter is about to be 5 and all the research I have done indicates a vbac is not as dangerous as most cut-happy doctors would like you to believe...they just like to be able to schedule the procedure instead of having to wait around for your body to do the work and they make more money bc you are having surgery....I was insistent I wanted a vbac but my doctor who was amazing other than with this one topic basically told me good luck finding a doctor who would do it and a hospital that would allow it...I live about an hour and a half from Dallas Texas so driving that far while in labor isn't really an option bc the second one is usually much faster than the first time and I didn't know I was in labor with my first until I made it to the hospital and was already at 4cm. I feel hopeless and terrified but I honestly don't know what to do bc he is right...I won't find a doctor or hospital close by that will do it.
