For all you mama's who plan on having an all natural birth, can I ask why? No judgement, just…

I don't understand it either lol. the doc asked me and I was like natural what!? u mean pushing it out isn't natural enough!? I want my epidural.

@alianagirl Lol, right ? That just isn't for me. I feel like it's going to be painful and scary enough even with the epidural.

I plan on getting an epidural. But I've read stuff I wish I wouldn't of. Like an epidural can slow down labor and then sometimes you can't feel your contractions. I've also heard it can cause back problems at the injection sight. But I'm yea I'm still to scared and I still want one.

When I had a natural birth with my 2nd child was because he was supposed to be my last baby well that's what I had in mind back then. So I was like you know what I want to know how it feels to go natural birth why not?! But omg it hurt so bad felt like I was being tortured and I almost fainted half ways of giving birth to him. And he weight 8lbs 6.6 oz my first one was 7lbs, so yeah I pushed a 8pound baby naturally 😖

@hale, I've heard stuff like that too. But it's rare to have complications. Just stay positive mama !

@ashleycoronel, lol yeah I was screaming "GET HIM OUT!!!!" That was so embarrassing ☺️. I remember hearing a lady before I gave birth screaming and crying and I was like ooook she so exaggerated lol and here comes my turn and I ended up like her lol 😁

I WANTED a natural labor because I have a prior back injury and didn't want the epidural to eff it up worse (which it did) and I didn't want to be induced cause due dates can be wrong but I ended up getting induced at 41+3 because 2 appointments in a row my blood pressure was too high...I ended up having to get the epidural so they could do an emergency c section...

Birth doesn't have to be painful or scary but it's how we have been hard wired to respond to it

I'm choosing a natural labor because I've read the pros and cons of getting an epidural and just don't want to take my chances with the cons. I don't want the back pain or headaches that can happen weeks afterwards. My friend just had a baby, and had to get her epidural done 3 times because the doctor kept messing up, and she's s little more than a month pp and she still has horrible back pain, so bad that sometimes she can't get up to pick up her baby. I just see the pain as a temporary thing, and that it'll all be worth it in the end.

I would highly recommend looking up videos of natural births and water births and hypnobirths just to see that birth doesn't have to be this super scary incredibly painful thing. Fear causes tension which causes pain, and it's easy to get stuck in that cycle once you're in it so it takes practice to really learn how to relax. And some people don't feel pain at all, but rather just describe sensations as pressure or tightening.

And definitely the business of being born on Netflix is an amazing documentary also if you haven't see it
