it's perfectly normal. when you get more towards the end they have less room to move around in because there bigger and not much room in your tummy

Your doctor never told you to do one ok so everyday at a time when you know that the baby is the most active you drink something cold or sweet like juice or soda and see how many times the baby kicks in 30 mins to an hour of the baby doesn't kick at least 10 times during that time you should call labor and delivery just keep in mind that all babies have a lazy day

It is NOT normal for decreased movement. It can be a sign of distress. Their movements change so more rolls instead of kicks but they shouldn't be any less. Babies are supposed to move the same amount all the way up until delivery. If ever in doubt call your doctor. Always better safe than sorry. @nichole8790

After week 28, you can expect to feel fetal activity every day. Set aside some quiet time twice a day to "count kicks," or any fetal movement. Ten movements of any kind in an hour or less is normal. If you haven't felt ten movements within an hour, have a snack or some fruit juice, lie down, and continue counting; if it takes more than two hours to reach ten, contact your practitioner.

Yes less movement at a time when she is normally active is not normal. You'll feel less big movements because baby has less room but decrease in movement can cause distress and heart rate to drop and be bad. Kick count should be done everyday at the same time. 10 movements in up to 2 hours is normal it should be same time everyday like I do mine after dinner because that's when he's the most active so I eat around 7 and so my kick counts then. Sometimes it takes up to 20 minutes but it's never taken longer than a half an hour so I watch for that. I have to watch movement because my son is a little small so that's why I do kick counts everyday and he's been monitored for distress. Also why I'm having my c section on Friday.

Drinking something cold and sweet helps to wake them up. Laying on your side helps too but I usually can just lay a little to the left on the couch because he's pretty active same times everyday

the farther along you get the less room baby will have to move, so keep that in mind, but always make sure there's movement even if it's just a little.
