My better half just drove over half an hour to pick up some home made pasteles!!! Can't wait to get home and boil these lovelies up! Yay!!

@princevince, Omgoodness, I was actually supposed to go to sacred hearts but my mom decided to moves us all the way across the island to buy a house for her bf ....who left her pregnant and within a year of us moving there =(...definitely a great opportunity for you guys! We still have our house on fourth st in pearl city...mom's doesn't want to sell it.
He graduated Pearl city high school him and his brother. His sister went to sacred hearts private catholic school. His Auntie owns her own care home they're very respected for that and have built a waiting list. His uncle owns his own cleaning company and has contracts with the major hotels in Waikiki and hotels in the north shore side. He and I are the only ones here and he's so homesick. I feel so bad. There's a lot of opportunity for us in Hawaii when his auntie and uncle retire and when his mom moves to the phillipines that will be our house. Makes no sense to stay in Vegas.
@princevince, omg, small world, I moved to pearl city my freshman year (dropped out of pearl city high school as a sophomore abd after flunking freshman year...yikes..but dropped back in school way later in life). Majority of my ohana still lives there.. we owned several lei stands (Maunakea Leis and Flowers and Violet's lei stand) both in China town. My uncle owns Aloha Gourmet Products...one of the largest distribution warehouses on O'ahu. Alot of my dad's side moved to Vegas since its a hop, skip away from home... .but yeah, I been to vegas, not the best place to raise a family.
He's from Oahu. Pearl City. I can't wait to move there once my son is a year or two. Vegas isn't a place I want to raise my family in.

I know. My husbands family is from Hawaii. I went to school there and I wanted to try them but never did. When we go back its on my list to try.
@princevince, I grew up eating them back home in Hawai'i...It's hard to find when it's not the holidays here in the mainland

Just got home from hospital, contractions 5 min apart so painful 4 cm walked in the hospital for hour and half no change told me to go home or walk some more , im in so much pain I couldn’t walk anymore so im home 😔
@rayodesol, Thank goodness!! I am so mad, I scarfed down both pasteles and I'm still hungry! Now I have to wait another hour while I boil more! Grrrrr
