HELP!! we had our six week well baby check up today and during this check up my sons pediatrician noticed two problems. first his head Is flatter on one side than the other. he always holds his neck a certain way and wants to look In the same direction while sleeping. she referred us for physical therapy and she believes with physical therapy that it should clear up on its on without a helmet or etc. The second thing is while listening to his heart she heard a murmur so we will now be seeing a pediatric cardiologist to see if he will need further testing done. if there are any mommies with children who had similar issues I would really appreciate hearing how it turned out for your child bc im really worried about both situations. thanks in advance.
my son had a lopsided head where it was flat on one side.. I did tummy time and rubbing it in circular motion.. the problem got solved.. hope it's the same for your little one 😘
my son was born with a heart murmur perfectly fine and healthy! when he gets sick they can still slightly hear it but nothing to worry about!!
My friends son had to get a helmet and do physical therapy for the same thing. he only had the helmet a few months and is doing great now! nylahs last appointment last Friday they said she has a heart murmur as well but he said it's really common and will correct itself :) everything should be ok momma!
I had a heart murmur for years like until I was ten and I was perfectly fine. Try not to worry. It's more common then you think
hopefully everything will check out fine with the cardiologist. I read that most children will have one at sometime and rhey either go away on their own or are labeled as harmless but ive also read about more serious things that it could be so now im just terrified.. @valerie_jean @gabby0317
My daughter cleared up with what I did by itself so there is always hope
its the right side of his head that is flatter. I guess im just a lil freaked out bc a friend of mines son has to wear a helmet bc of how severe his is but he was also born with it from the way he was in the womb. I read that with therapy and repositioning that it usually clears up on its own so im hoping thats the case for us @reaganmommy2015 @gabby0317
My son had a big heart murmur when he was 8 weeks and we saw a cardiologist for an heart Echo and it turned out normal. It's gone now, was gone and closed up at 20 weeks. ☺️
my little man has a flat spot on his head..he has a favorite side and also looks on that side mostly..the pediatrician isnt too concerned about the spot but i don't see any improvement. we also went to see the cardiologist for same reason n he said there isnt any heart murmur everything fine with us! 🙏🙏
For the head my daughter had the same issue just start doing more tummy time even if the baby doesn't like it do it as well as when the baby is sleeping you need to turn the head so it's not always in the position when sleeping it will go away on its own just remember that the head is really soft still and won't harden until 1
TWW!!

Celie had her 15 months check up today and she got her shots as well:( and I also talked to her doctor about why she isn't walking yet and she told me at the last visit when we were there to bribe her to help her walk so that's what I did and I brought it up to her doctor that she still isn't walking so she wants Celie to go to physical therapy for babies to help her get stronger. My question is has this ever happened to your baby and that their doctors suggested this as well? We are waiting for...
Alaura got her head checked today, she said the front seems good for the moment but we are flat in the back and physical therapy will step in and start correcting it

Today we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary! We had a great day and am currently finishing it off with a pedicure while DH sits here and watches. He refused to get one. His loss! ?

Maverick had his checkups in Denver on Monday! We also got to go visit the NICU and see his/our favorite primary nurse. All of his appointments went great! Opthomologist said his eyes look great and just wants to see him when he turns 2. Cardiology said the narrowing of his aorta that he previously had has resolved itself as well as his murmur. The Developmental specialist worked with him and taught us some exercises to do with him to help speed up his "catch up" process. We will most likely be ...
thanks guys for the responses. I just needed to know that what we are going through happened to other people and they turned out ok.
