anyone ever went in for genetics counseling?? .. the father of my child has seizures,tremors, barrets esaphougas and a stomach disease.. .my doctor had told me that the baby will most likely come out 99.9% healthy with none of his issues... so she scheduled me with a genetics counselor any idea what they will do??

I'm going because I'm 36. That's the same day as my consultation. I'm sure it's just a precaution. You and baby will be fine. Not all conditions are passed down
mines the 9th .. I just don't know how to feel about it because I feel like it's hurting his feelings.. my doctor already had my order for blood and I only have had one sono yet so idk what there going to do..
I have my appointment next week. I was told they ask a lot of questions at the consultation. The appointment they take a lot of blood and study the sono for visual abnormalities. When is your appointment ?
I did. They ask you a lot of questions about your immediate family's history, they tell you wat they think baby might be at risk for, offer generic counseling, draw labs, and do an ultrasound. I didn't do much except for sequential screening and the ultrasound because we were low risk
