I started off with the basic phrases and commands and then we gradually moved into conversation...I also had my mom and dad help out too..and he would watch some Dora the explorer lol as corny as it sound it worked

I think the most difficult part for me is his accent and he has a hard time rolling his "r"s

Seeing that she is still pretty young I think she will be ok...when I speak to my son I always repeat what j said in English then back to Spanish...then I would ask him to translate so it seems to work really well...just ease her in slowly she will get the hang of it trust me at this age kids absorb language pretty easily
