So I had my first appointment with one of our midwives on Thursday. She had me do a blood test called Harmony. It's supposed to scan for birth defects but it might be able to tell us the gender too. We should be getting the results within 2 weeks. Has anyone else had this test or something like it? Was the gender result accurate?

@kad2015, I had the Harmony blood test done at 12 weeks and it's 99% accurate on gender. I knew I was having a boy weeks it was noted at my dr visit. And I am also very low risk for genetic abnormality. I definitely recommend it than the invasive amnio.
I'm glad everyone had good experiences with it. I'm nervous that I will be that one person who the test is wrong for lol.
I had it done and got the results in a week, they did 3 weeks tho so they might come early. And yes it was accurate, I'm having a boy!

yes l have had it done, and blood test and ultrasound says girl. plus blood test are more accurate then ultrasound anyway
I kept calling the midwife office just to see if by chance the results came in early. lol.

I had the progenity it's basically the same thing... waiting 2 weeks nearly killed me lol but the results were dead on! We're having a boy!!! 👶💙👣
