(TMI for some people) can the mucus plug be clear? I have a photo of it but I know some of y'all…

It's usually supposed to have a little blood

@mommiesworld, I thought so too, but its just so strange looking and I've never had any of my discharge look like it before.

my mucus plug was clear. it can be clear or clear with white in it. it can even look like snot with a yellowish green color. i lost mine 4 times and it never had blood in it even the day my water broke. I didnt have a bloody show until my labor started

@amber.s95, I was reading up on it just now. it said it doesn't always have to be bloody. I was just worried cause its something that came from down below and I've never seen anything like it. I think it's part of my plug, I'm just not to sure cause this is my first and thats the first time its happened.

Mine was clear. It looked like I had coughed up a big loogie lol. More like clear white thick stuff. Yuck! Lol

Well you can lose your plug and still remain pregnant pass your due date lol. I'd wait for contractions that you can time.

@sexxymama83, @amber.s95 do you know if your mucus plug can look like snot but not really like mucus? Like runny snot.

I was freaked out when I lost mine too. I called my mom because at first I had no idea what it was. I lost mine the first time at 36 weeks and had my son on my due date. It'll grow back in a couple days if you dont go into labor

@manders13, im not really sure. mine was like the consistency of snot. it was thick
