How contagious is mono ? Hubby has it & I was just wondering is it possible to get it from sleeping…

You can get it from kissing & sharing drinks & silverware ect...

Don't share anything with him, it's pretty contagious. Is he on antibiotics? I would sleep somewhere else or have him sleep somewhere else to be honest.

@momofroyalty, I don't do any of that , but is it necessary for him to sleep in a separate room ?

@klachappelle, the hospital didn't give him anything unfortunately. & yeah he's been sleeping in the room next to our bedroom so I think I'll be fine

@kie123, @momofroyalty You can catch it through suspension. He coughs or sneezes and the mucous is suspended in the air and you breathe it in and then you can catch it. It's still his saliva you're catching it from.

It's the same way you get sick from other contagious illnesses, it doesn't need to be direct contact for you to get it.

I doubt he's going to "cough properly" in the middle of the night when he is sleeping and I doubt she's gonna be sitting there with Lysol spraying him down. Just know it's contagious, and yes you can catch it from sleeping next to him.
