Do any of you mamas have experience with this hair type? It naturally ringlets, but it's soft and thinnish. Sometimes I think I shouldn't brush it, but then it's so ratty. No one in the family has this hair, I have no idea where she got it. lol, poor baby.
@bria.k, I think I know what you mean... I do need a big comb, that's probably the solution, I never use combs.
Use leve in conditioner and a wide tooth comb rather than a brush. It doesn't rip out half as much hair because it only pulls the tangles through, it doesn't pull on hairs that aren't knotted. Once it's been combed through and dried from the leave in conditioner you can brush through it but brush the ringlets around your hand. Not sure if that makes sense, let me see if I can find a picture or video.
@annlou, yeah, before bed. That's what I mean. We have to use spray on her hair to detangle it. The ringlets are cute but omg do they attract trouble. Lol
@rawrgasaur, That's smart, maybe even to braid it before bed to keep it together? I just hate the brushing part, feel like I'm ripping it out. 😣
My niece has hair like that. It gets tangled soooo easily. When I do her hair, I put it in a loose braid after I brush it to keep it from tangling again.
@bria.k, thanks, will try it. Goodness knows I need to do something, it's getting long and I could never cut it!
