Ok so went too midwife today and just after she listened too my baby's heart beat she said it was very fast and very strong as I was only 16 weeks ,she ?then went on too say are you going too find out what your having ?? I replied yes they told me at 11 weeks that it was 70% a boy . The midwife looked at me in total surprise and said really as if she was shocked it was a boy . I really don't no why . Anyone have any ideas ??

Yeah i did them too come out I was having a girl lol have you done the Chinese gender prediction? It was right for me personally try that see what that says? And also they told my mum at 12 weeks she was having a boy but not to buy boy bits but they were right ended up with a little brother lol. Xx
Yeah that's what I thought !! I really don't think they should be able too tell you that early even if they think they no . X
usually most hospitals and stuff would only do a gender check at the 20 week one as usually the 12 week scan is still to early. she may have been shocked at the fact they may have already been able to tell what the gender was before your 20 week's scan. @1750reed
I ve seen loads of old wife's tales but I really don't no what too think ! I was convinced I was having a girl before I went for my 12 week scan which I was only 11weeks for and she asked me if I wanted too no the sex and I said yes . She said she thought 70% a boy! But not too go buying loads of blue just yet ! Then everyone keeps saying it's too far early too no yet and too keep a open mind ! Then what happened with the midwife just has made me very doubtful !! My next scan is at 21 weeks which will be 28th September feels like ages away x
They say that the faster the heart beat is this means it's a girl slower is a boy which I thinks a lot of rubbish as I'm having a little boy and his heart beat was fast aswell Hun. When do you find out what you're having?xxx
When I had my scan at 11 weeks they said the hate rate was fast 181bpm . But who no's I'll have too wait till my next scan x
There are some theories on heart rate determining gender but I don't think there is a lot of science to it.
Yeah I have that says girl ! I have 3 other children and I have put the dates in for them and they are all right as well !!! I have a girl and 2 boys already and I honestly thought from the way I felt it was defo a girl ! I was so shocked when she said 70% boy ! I have read somewhere tho that it's more likely too be wrong if they say it's a girl and then turns out too be a boy . I don't no I keep thinking about going for a private gender scan just too put my mind at rest x
